Radio Question...
I just got my '96 Carrera.
Factory removable face cd radio. Is the stereo display supposed to light up? Mine has no light. Makes it tough to change stereo settings while driving at night. Not a big issue, I didn't buy the car for the stereo, just curious if mine is broken.

Try taking a pencil eraser to the contacts on the removable face - perhaps one is corroded.

94 Carrera cab. Radio won't shut off. Backlighting was on even with ignition off and key removed...no audio. I disconnected the negative battery cable for a few seconds and it finally went black. I'm going to look for a new Blauplunct today.
