I just bought a used 1999 996. The exterior is mint but the interior needs a little love. I need to either cover or replace the trans tunnel plastic as well as the the "E" brake. I have seen the carbon fiber kits but do not really like the look.
My car is arctic silver, I have seen Boxters with matching paint and interior. SW |

So what is it you're looking for? Are you asking for input or are you looking for pieces?
If you can afford the options of the trim then by all means get what you want but just remember some kits can run up in the 5K range....... -Eli |

The stock center console is about $400 from Porsche is basic interior colors (you need to transfer the storage compartment lid from the old console) You will also want the hinge update kit for teh storage compartment lid. The update does require drilling and pop-riveting the hinge to the new console.
I think the E-brake handle is about the same money (for stock components). Neither is difficult to install. You will need a 10mm, 13mm and a couple of Torx screwdrivers (T-20 and T-30 if memory serves) As Eli pointed out already, the carbon fiber\wood\aluminum\stainless steel\unobtanium trim package can get very expensive very quickly. You can do both of these in a day once you have all of the parts AFJuvat
