Porsche Crest 964 climate control

Hello, I have a 90 C2, my climate control defrost and air cond buttons logo sign had disappeared, any suggestion where i can get them at or anyone is selling them, even some sort of aftermarket stickers replacement. Thanks for the help

You can get the entire switch with buttons from dealer. Part numbers are 944.653.921.00 and 944.653.922.00. Not sure which one is which. Not too difficult to replace the entire switch, but you have to remove the Climate Control Unit from the dash and remove the face plate. I think four clips hold it in place. They just plug in if memory serves me right.

I've got all the switch covers and one complete switch assembly for your climate control. Send me an e-mail with your name and address and I'll pop them in a Christmas box for $25.

Insert the Ford radio removal tools into the holes in both sides of the climate control unit. Press them away from the center of the unit and then pull out the assembly. It will be hard to pull as there is a friction fit holder gripping the back of the unit. You may have to reach under the dash to remove the 2 wiring harnesses. You may have to remove the steering wheel and wiper\cruise control levers to remove to unit. While it looks like a 5 minute job, leave yourself and hour!

I just headed out under my dash to verify my above steps. I think yo ucan reach the blower motor from under the dash. You'll have to remove the footwell vent, and do some major finger wriggling, but I think you can do it!

Also, I have an ugly, but working fan from my flooded climate control. It spins and does so very quietly. Do you want to buy it?

I was able to get the unit out of the dash without steering wheel removal or cruise control stalk removal. I cut the wire ties on the wiring harnesses for the unit. It gave me a little more slack to wiggle the unit out. Used a piece of the correct diameter brazing rod to make the removal tool to insert into the holes. Was able to disconnect the unit from the harnesses from the front when pulled out.

Don, i'm thinking if it's a pain to replace the fan, i better put in a fresh one so i don't have to do it again. however i don't know what a new one costs.

It's all relative - cost and labor. I'd like to get $20 for my fan with part number 964.659.148.00. Check it out and get back to me...
