Do I need oil thermostat in California?

All,

My 1992 964 car spends nights in the warm garage and days on the road. Do I really need oil thermostat in California? I live in the Bay Area and the weather is not cold here during winter.
Will I create any damage to the engine if I will take the “thermostat insert” out and let the oil circulating freely in my engine and the oil radiators all the time?

I think you're better off leaving it in. That way the engine circulates 5-6 quarts of oil when it's warming up, instead of all of it. The car will warm up faster, and you can floor it sooner!

Is there some specific reason you want to remove it?
