911 Badge instead of Carrera
 

I have a 1999 996 conv. Arctic Silver. The badge on the back is not a standard Carrera badge. It is a chrome 911 at an angle. I have seen the same on other silver cars. Anyone know if this is factory or someone putting a personal touch on the car?

I'd say personal touch.
I've done the same with mine, sometimes Carrera other time no badge.

I thought the 911 badge indicated it was one of the anniversery series, they were only made in silver, and all had the 911... could be wrong.

The 911 in silver is a 40th anniversery addition..... Some have put it on after the fact by choice but it was factory for the 40th. I've chosen to remove my rear badge all together.....
