Angry Finally Found My oil Leak!

I have had an very small oil leak (2-3 drops) overnight. I had hoped it was just some type of oil overflow as my car has to much oil. Today I was able to finally locate the source of leak. This pic shows were the oil drops would accumilate (also on the rear sway bar).

I wiped everything clean in this area and went for a nice sat afternoon drive in the hills near my house. When i returned I crawled under the car and found a leak from were the engine rear and the tranny mate (RMS??) as shown in this pic.

My car has only 69k on it. What a dissapointment. I really thought the days of nagging oil leaks was behind me when I bought a 993. I guess the only way to fix this one is to wait till I have to replace the clutch and have the entire thing out. Bummer!

Looks like it could be a rear main. Or oil pressure switch or oil pressure switch mount O-ring at the back of the motor

Yes, but you are going to have to move some stuff out of your way - airbox etc. It is located on the passenger side of the engine at the back.

hallo
On the 993 you can drop the tranny without removing the Engine , it is quite simple and you can do it easy on a Saturday , It seems to be the
mainseal on the Crankshaft or on the Gearbox . If the oil smells like bad Eggs it is the Transmission .
