The OEM Speedlines are much more attractive, IMO. Too bad they cost an arm and half a leg. :(

Ain't that the truth

kurquhart 03-07-2008 07:21 PM

I trust you weighed them. The Aliseo are quite heavy; are the OEM significantly lighter?

Bill Verburg 03-08-2008 03:54 AM

PHP Code:

Speedline Alissio
front    9x18ET50    25.00    48
# w/Pirelli P0 Nero 225/40
rear    10x18ET56    27.00    54# w/Pirelli P0 Nero 265/35

Speedline for Porsche
front    8x18 ET52    25.00    48
# w/Pirelli P0 Nero 225/40
rear    10x18 ET65    26.50    54# w/Pirelli P0 Nero 265/35

996 wheels
front    8x18ET 50    39.00    39
# 225/40MPSC
rear     10x18ET65    42.00    42# 265/35MPSC

Yes, they are heavy but perfectly accepatable for street use, My02 996 5 spokes are quite light as are MPSC. 9# per front corner and 12# per rear corner

I'm always amazed when they start up w/ the first twist of the key

Anyway, first light, 08

Bill, what's the part number for the hood prop? My hood shocks are toast and this looks like a good alternative.

cstreit 10-30-2008 05:23 AM

...If you're not stuck on authenticity, Sherwood sells a lightweight Carbon version that looks trick too.

ilko 10-30-2008 05:24 AM

Do you have a link? I'm not stuck on authenticity, I'm stuck on convenience :)

You'll have to sand some of the raised mounting points to get the tail to fit in the stock lid opening
