Porsche Crest Headlight lense question 996 ,boxter, need advice!

Hello, Gents i just received a set of boxter headlight buckets complete, these are for a custom porsche application, so I must remove the clear lenses to get inside and modify a few things...Question is how do I get the lense off with out breaking it or cutting the bucket, I see two small deep round recesses ,which would appear to have screws but I do not see a screw ,in there, just some sort of metal stud. Any help appreciated , I must finish the project.

Thanks again J.C.

remove all the bulbs and covers from the headlamps and bake the lights @~150F for a few(8) minutes. glue will soften and lense will pull away. done this before here to color match the lamp internals on 986. TEST you oven with an accurate thermo!!!!!! Oven temp dials don't always read what they actually run at!!!!

if you're wary about baking the lamps you can use a heatgun but they tend to localize heat too much, distorting the lamp casing, and you normally can't get all the glue hot enough at once to easily remove the lense without cracking it.

good luck
