Mixing Synthetic & regular oil
Can mixing synthetic (Mobile 1 ) oil and regular oil cause any problems in a 964?
thanks |
Mixing is usually not an issue at all. Unless you are using a castor based oil i would not be concerned.

I've heard the same. Don't add synthetic to an engine that hasn't been running synthetic regularly, but you can certainly add regular oil to a synthetic-using engine.

Mixing is better than running out of oil, which is what would have happened otherwise, I assume. However, I'd change the oil sooner than later - not waiting for the next interval. For the next time, just keep a quart or two of the matching oil in the car. ;)

Yes, you can mix, but why do you want to?

No issue.
