Window frame adjustment?

I'm getting significant wind noise from my driver side window by the mirror. I tested the leak by taping the leading edge of the door and window frame which cured the noise. Deducing that the door and frame are not sealing at the front, I used some hardware store weather stripping to see if that helped w/o the tape. It reduced the noise also. So now it seems as if either the door seal is worn out or the window frame is out of adjustment. I believe it's the latter as the gasket seems to be in good shape and matches the passenger side which does not leak. Also, it seems as if the window frame is not in as tight to the body as the one on the passenger side. Therefore, I would like to adjust the frame.

These seem to adjust the frame at the top but there must be an adjuster inside the door. Can anyone confirm?

Where might the hidden adjustment be??

Hello Bob,

(Hildebrand: nice Dutch name...)

You're showing the rights screws on the pics but there is also one in the door. You have to remove the panel. You will find it beneath, at the end of the window rail (not sure if 'rail' is the right word for it... )

Good luck,

Thanks Dick. I was hoping to access the screw to the rail via a speaker opening. I'll remove the door and deal with it that way.

I thought Hildebrand was German!:)

Hello Bob,

Well, 'Hildebrand' is a common name in Holland, Germany en Belgium. Sometimes there is an extra 't' behind the 'd'.

Good luck with the window frame.

I had my hopes up that I was Dutch! Oh well.

Thanks again for the help. :)
