Can a power steering pump be easily added to an RS America 3.6 engine which does not have one?

Depends on whether or not the passenger side cam has the proper machining to accept the pump drive sprocket and bolt
Here is what the assembly looks like A 12x1.5x50 bolt holds the sprocket to the cam

According to the parts diagrams. all the non-turbo 964 US engines used the same right side cams, RSA or not.
Check from below, see if there is a flat cap where the end of the right cam would be. If so, no PS drive. If there is a hood cover for the end of the camshaft, sticking out forward, you're good to go. Odd that the RSA had no PS installed while the factory RSR's did. |

The right-side camshaft in the RSA is part #964-105-248-06 (option M656) and for the regular 964 models with power steering (option M657) the part number is 964-105-246-09. Quote:

Thanks for the correction. My mistake on the parts diagrams. Mine is not marked correctly and I misread it. Hmm.
