Q: Aero mirror to 1990 C2

Ok, I have an aero mirror that I took off from my buddy's crashed 92 C2. I look at it and think: hmmm...I'll remove the flag mirror from my 90 C2, unplug it, plug in my buddy's and life is good. NOPE. I unbolt my flag mirror and pull the wire in hope that it has the same connector as 92, but no. It seems like it's connected to the harness inside the door. Now, do I have to go through the pain documented in adopting aero mirrors to earlier Carreras? Do I have to cut the wire? I suppose I can make my mirrors manual, but perhaps there is a solution out there...what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Here is the picture of the aero mirror which was on 92 C2

And here is what I have when remove flag mirror from my 90 C2

Connectors are not the same. It would be too easy if they were. You have to either make a new connector or cut off your existing mirrors plug and splice it on. Now for the other thing that makes it "not easy" the wire colors do not match either. Do a search and I know some one has posted the correct color to color diagram.

You also have to clean up the door panel as not to see the old square mounting to the new rounder mounting.

Have Fun it's worth it ...

So, procedure is pretty much the same as for older Carreras, right?
