Clutch master cylinder replacement

How do you remove the supply hose in the pic?
Does the plastic insert just slips out?

I bled the clutch hydraulics since the clutch pedal disengagement point was getting lower and lower.
I had to double clutch once in a while so as not to grind when up and downshifting.

The fluid was black and gritty then it got clear after pumping 4 or five times, then all of a sudden, the master sunk to the floor and not sucking any fluid back into the cylinder.
I think the master seals went out. Is there a check valve at the fluid supply point? There was no fluid leakage at the slave though. Is this diagnosis correct?

I am getting the MC and slave from Pelican. Price is competitive.

Just tried it today and the supply hose fitting just pops out of the master cylinder.
Getting ready for the bleeding job.

Keep us posted...

I'm replacing both my master and slave in a few weeks.

I was not able to replace the MC without pulling out the pedal assembly.
What a pain in the "A" to replace extending both arms to reach the bolts and pin clips.

Pedal assembly pulled out to release the hardline from the MC.

Tools I used to replace MC.

This is the pedal assembly and associated fasteners and electrical parts.

To install the new replacement MC, the hard line has to be installed first with the fitting a little loose.
Then the pedal assembly is installed next as the MC is positioned into the mounting hole in the pedal assembly.
Then the rest falls into place.

I just did the master cylinder and left the slave alone.
Bleeding was a pain without a power bleeder.
The new master was not filling up with fluid even though I pre-bled it on the bench.
I ended re-bleeding the MC by manually pumping and loosening the 14mm fitting in the back.
Then it started filling up and building pressure on the master cylinder.
Had to stuff a lot of paper towels too to catch all the fluid flowing out.

It seems to be holding pressure. Cross fingers.
