Thanks for clarifying. That sounds ugly. No guarantees it's just the valve guides. I'd walk. Don't buy something that you know is broken, unless you get it for dirt cheap. This is a 10k car. Not kidding.

Not sure why there is a lot of cabs for sale. I would not mind one as a sunny day driver, but as a first 3.6 equipped porsche, I'd go with the coupe. The roof line on the air cooled 911 is just awesome. You miss that on a cab or targa. Also, the car will be stiffer in the coupe version and if you ever roll it ...
