NOT TO BE COMBATIVE, but, did anyone think to take it, or any other pcar, to a porsche dealer? i've read several posts with the same tone, and thought "Porsche charges $110 per hour just like everyone else, why not use them?" and IMHO, porsche has a warranty on any work done, so i think it's a pretty good deal

Jimmy was at my house at the time of talking to orginal poster. All being said on his part, was that the customer said ABS pump isnt working cause it came to a slight skid at the end of a stop. Jimmy is not upset, frustrated or has any grudges against Topic posters car. He cancelled 2 customers up north in the SF area, to be certain that his car was going to be finished. (as commented from pelican above) and in the end result car was taken to the shop.
The main concern to my understanding is that cust was guessing ABS pump to be bad, and or MC? The car has pressure#1 and the car doesnt pulsate coming to a stop#2 To get a slight skid with all new parts, fresh fluid and bleed, etc isnt that a good thing???
I trust Jimmy to the fullest, and WILL NEVER let him walk away empty handed for his hard work.. HOW can anyone do that to a guy that want to help the Porsche community, and not burn them!!! If anyone is frustrated is the guys he cancelled, and lost one for him staying 2 extra days to finish your car! "Labor day weekend"
ALSO, seems like Jimmy is made to be making stuff up about calling shop for more info to make sure he would be able to square you away when all said and done! WELL, i was standing right there, as jimmy took notes on what was being said, date and times he talk to people for back tracking answers like this." Yes, he logs everyones phones calls to remind him what was said!"

*** If 3 days of work in that heat(111), customers cancelled, Holiday weekend, 1.5 hours one way everyday, isnt enough to be kind hearted and attacking your,OUR mechanic.. You said if you didnt trust him, he wouldnt be working on your car? Then why have him work on it, post this topic, and have people see that you wont even pay him for what he did!! Over a week later, and knowing you got your car by now is just outright WRONG!!!!!!!***

We should put a charity together for Jimmy to people that use, and wont pay...

Hey Jimmy if you read this... I see how people in our community talk about you. Talk for you, and talk with you. I seen you at the car show, and that sparkling image that still shows your personality is what we love about you! Just cause you work on 100k cars, your not all uptight like some guys intend to be while working on them. Keep your sense of humor, cause thats what most of us keep having you come back time after time.. You back your word, and your work!
Hope we dont loose you in SoCAL..

BTW.J Richard. Jimmy came to post to open a window that if someone really dislikes him, it will come about. We all know if one does good, it really dont get bragged about, but if JImmy F'ED up a car, then we all know how bad spreads faster than good...
Oh, and MArk, there are not alot of Mobile Porsche mechanics, atleast not with the exposure of our Mr Jimmy!!!!

Moderator: I left this thread open to hear out both sides of the story. Apparently Mark does not yet have his car back nor the report from the shop. While support for Jimmy is admirable, so was Mark's initial discretion in not naming the mechanic. And you'll notice he's not named the shop either.

So I am closing this thread. When Mark PM's me and is ready to post the results, I'll re-open the thread. I am sure he and Jimmy will come to some sort of agreement as a result - until then it is all conjecture. If they both choose to post the result of that discussion, they can open a new thread or ask me to re-open this one.
