993 3 spoke wheel / 964 installation
Has anyone tried to install a 3 spoke 993 wheel on a 94 C2? I was told you have to switch out the steering column to do this so I was looking for the particulars- the best bet being someone who has done this. Any help is appreciated.

A 993 does not have a 3 spoke wheel, it has 4 spokes and a big airbag. If you mean a 3-spoke non-airbag wheel (like a momo mod-7) you simply need a hub adapter, the column stays as-is. You need a little L-shaped contact if you want a horn to work with the momo wheels.

993 3 spoke
The 3 spoke wheel is from the 996 and can be easily retrofitted onto a 993. That's the real question- can a 996 3 poke wheel be fitted on a 964 C2? and so how is it done.

I can confirm that a 993/ 996 mount the same but won't work on a 964 without changing the upper part of the steering column.
I haven't tackled it yet though. |
