Cleaned the ISV = makes a difference
I found this thread here today about stalling when it is cold. The immediate response of some of you was that the
ISV = Idle Stabilization Valve had to be cleaned. After finding out how that thing looked and where it was located, I took it out (seems even easier on the 964 than on the 933, which can be found here under DIY), cleaned it with break cleaner (yes, I had my eyes covered!) and Q-tips, put it back on and bingo: PERFECT - starts right up and keeps the idle even in cold weather and with cold engine! Sweet, 'cause this was one of the problems I kinda ignored (to random here in California). Thx ! |
Excellent!
