Fitting C4 front wheel drive in C2 (993)??

Does anyone know if there is any difference in chasis in front section under the tank between 993 C2 and 993 C4,or in other words, can my friend fit a front wheel drive into his 993 C2,is it possible chasis wise?

Thanks!

No difference in the chassis.

This would apply to 964; not sure about 993, though.

Are you bringing the high pressure braking system along with the AWD? The stock brake booster on a C2 occupies the same space.

Brake boosters should be the same, only high pressure pump needs to be added, correct?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure that the c4's of both chassis and the c2's of both have different boosters.

Again, this is for 964, but this is the quote from the Panoramo brake article that I was remembering:

Quote:

The C2 uses a more conventional vacuum-based boost, with the vacuum canister occupying the C4’s front differential location.

Did conversion from C4 to C2. once again that was 964. There is no difference in chassy, but you'll need to convert it to Hydrolic brake booster only becouse vacum brake booster takes place of front diff. Other major issues , you'll have to take all the interior out since you gonna have to cut out gear shifter mounting bracet. only because you know that C4 center arc under car is filed with driveshaft and gear shifter linkage. You'll need C4 front spindles - CV axles different from C2. Other than that is bolt on conversion.
