Fly wheel speed reference sensor????

Hey guys i am replacing my speed reference sensor for the flywheel , I cant get the sensor out of that little bracket that attaches it to the transmission. Is it even supposed to come out of the bracket, i have beat it, pried it with a screwdriver soaked it in PB blaster all night but IT WILL NOT COME OUT. Isnt it supposed to just have one screw that holds it in the bracket or what???

AFIK, it's just the one bolt. I'd hold the bracket in a vise (padded), then use some big vice grips on the sensor body to twist it.

Jerry,
You got your engine out? How was it? What are you replacing? I will be trying this too, someday.

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark, yes i took my engine out, ive replaced most of the stuff around the engine, cleaned everything the best i could. I just replaced the engine sound/heat shield today. A few more minor things then its going back in. Ill post pics and the procedure to remove a 965 engine maybe tomorrow.
