993/964 3.8 RSR Intake - any pics of this?

OK folks, take a look at your image libraries - I am trying to get some good close-up pics of the 993/964 3.8 RSR Intake system.

Really appreciate your help! This could lead to an interesting project for me

Cool - that looks cheap and simple enough to fabricate

I never have understood the screen on the front cross runner. Can you guys enlighten me? I'm just not sure how the ecu handles the un-metered air, or if it is even open to the atmosphere.

There was one for sale in the classifieds a little while back. It was a little less bling than the one in Bill's picture, but was still cool.

I considered it for my project... but was advised that it would be totally inappropriate for street use...

Great pics! I'm in the info gathering phase on this - I am wondering if using the throttle bodies along with some other intake could be viable for street use. Just thinking out loud...

The one above was quite expensive... Put it this way... I saved a bundle in going with the Jenvey stuff (TBs, Stacks, aircleaners, etc)
If you find one (good luck) make sure it has the correct bolt pattern that will fit your 3.8 heads.
The great thing about this is the ability of lenghtening the manifold runners above 4-5000k rpm...

But I don't follow the TBs and different intake comment...

I think Steve Weiner at Rennsport has developed a really nice tall butterfly system that would fit your project perfectly...

This is just conjecture. But say you have the throttle bodies from the RSR setup, with TPS installed. Then you put "something" onto the throttle bodies, like a tall individual intake, into a common air cleaner. Heck, you could add a map sensor too since we are dreaming

Apply FI system of choice, etc.

Reading the above, the high butterfly sounds a lot better!!

Bill,
Do you know who makes the carbon fiber RSR system in the picture you posted above? It is exactly what I am looking for. I have only ever seen the factory aluminum system posted by 911teo above.

That is an Albert motorsports RSR clone in c/f not suitable for street use at all,

holy christ that cf one is ultra cool!! i like the little vacuum actuated flappers(?) on either side of the middle part on of the intake.

I would guess if you're going to do ITB's you'd just do some velocity stacks wouldn't ya?

...I'll be choking my rsr motor down with a 3.6 intake.
