1993 - C2 - What is it worth?
I have a 1993 C2 red/grey, 5 spd, LSD, sport seats, refinsihed 7's and 9's, new brakes, including rotors. Alignment was done recently by Porsche of Orlando. Pioneer CD/AM/FM stereo. Near excellent condition both inside and out. 67.5k miles. It's not a track car.
All maintenance is up to date and everything works as it should. Per the records from PO's, engine appears to be original and clutch feels fine as well. She has a Hurley Haywood signed sticker in the front window and was owned by some Brumos folks and serviced for years at Brumos Porsche Jacksonville, FL & most recently Zotz Garage and Porsche of Orlando. I will likely be listing it here and on Rennlist.com and possibly through Nort Northam in Orlando. I am moving back to CA and I can't take this with me, (long story short), and I can't keep her, anyway, any ideas on what she may be worth in today's market? ![]()

Are you sure it is a 6 spd? I thought all 964 C2 (non-turbo) manuals were 5 spd?

Hard to say - my guess would be anywhere from 18k to 25k. You see them go below 20k at times but then yours seem to be a nice example - later engine, nice seats and in nice condition. Wait until someone really wants a that particular car.

Looks like the right year, lsd, sport seats, lowered, receipts, clean car and low mileage. If it is a 9.5-10 car, I would say $25k+ in some parts of the country. Florida may be a little less. Just from the looks of the car, I would not sell for less than $23k if it were me.

1993 C2
I acquired mine 2 years ago with 80k miles for $19k. Had to fix a few oil leaks like power steering camshaft drive seal, worn rear tires, leaky master and slave cylinders.
If you are not in a hurry, $23-$25k will be fair.

Good morning, "ebenke"..
It’s my Good Deed for the Day time.. Just to confuse you a little bit more in your quest of knowledge, have you ever thought of the following.. Try to sell your 911/964 to someone in Europe.. The average retail numbers for a 1992-1994, 964 Carrera 2 in France are based on the Numéro 204, Février 2008 Edition of FLAT 6 Magazine. 33,000 Euro for Concours, (recently my 911/964 "Concours d'Elégance") 28,000 Euro for Perfect, 21,000 Euro for Good, 18,000 Euro for Fair. Take the average of the four numbers and you have: 25,000 Euro X 1.57 (rate E to $) = $39,250!! Not bad!!.. There’s a lot of Europeans looking high and low for Original Specification, clean non-accident, proven history, and anything near or about 100,000 kilometres is considered el-supreme!! More and more American air-cooled 911's and 356's are heading back to the Old Country.. Hey it costs nothing to try.. Not to mention the colour combo.. Very nice.. Wish I had the money.. Being on the East Coast of the States offers shipping to Antwerp, Amsterdam, Hambourg not to mention England, where "left hookers" are considered cool, that something a little different to the other's sort of thing.. My Friend the World is yours.. Five years ago I found my 1991 964 C4 Cabriolet in Germany for 24,000 Euros because every used 911/3.0, 3.2, 964 was a rat here in Southern France!! Go to Auto Scout 24 and check out the numbers in Germany and or, Europe and or, Country.. Link to 964 PAGE FOR SALE: http://eng.autoscout24.com/home/index/list.asp?make=57&mileagefrom=0&mileageto=0&model=15977&eurofrom=0&euroto=0&fuel=0&yearfrom=0&yearto=0&body=0&hpfrom=0&hpto=0&bodycol=0&gear=86&cartype=0&age=0&hasimage=1&sort=make&country=&radius=0&zip=&carsperpage=50&action=Search Link to OFFER PAGE: http://eng.autoscout24.com/home/index/offer.asp Who knows, stranger things have happened.. Good Luck, Marc.. PS. My Ride Page/ go to page 3 to see the original photos of my 911/964.. Link to: Me http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2449542 And no!! I have no affiliates to Auto Scout 24, I am not responsible for any of your dealings and no, I am not a car salesman and no, I am not Santa Clause.. And yes!! There are crooks and cons in Europe, remember that.. Tell me you're not thinking now..

Great info everyone - thanks and keep it coming.
I agree with you trader220 the graphics should probably go since they are not authentic, an being vinyl, they will be easy to remove. Selling in Europe sounds very interesting as well.

I bought my 1993 for $20,500 it has 115K. I think your should get $25,000 it's very nice.
I did sell my previous '79 SC Targa to a European collector for a fair price, they just happened to be in NYC looking for cars/hanging out and saw my craigslist ad. They paid cash.

I would like to sell it in the next month. Europe is a neat idea, but probably more effort.
Has anybody done this yet, if so whta was your process?

Yes, I have imported and sold a car from the US to Germany. While they all use the same currency, import procedures depend on the country. A somewhat common procedure will look something like this:
- Ship car to port of entry in Europe - Pay any import duty based on market value of car - Apply for and receive temporary license plate. Your US plates will be good for 30 days in most countries with valid insurance. This assumes your US insurance will cover Europe. - Take the car to local inspection place. You need a local technical document that states the car complies with local laws - Make and changes required and have re-inspected (if needed) - Put car on the market Another possible issue is that you need to have a local address for a lot of this so you might need a friend in Europe. Other option is trying to sell the US car as is and the buyer will do the rest. Expect a significant reduction in price if you go down that route. If you import yourself, knowledge of the local language will be very helpful. Hope this helps. Good luck

I don't want to go through the hassle, I'd like it to go to a enthusiast here in the states.
