Oil line/Exhaust proximity

I have a '90 C4 that came with a sport muffler. The sound was a little loud for me, so I have replaced the sport muffler with a primary bypass and stock secondary. This has a much better sound to my ears, but, the oil line to the filter touches the coupling between the bypass pipe and the muffler.

How close should these pieces be? I know there's a problem with rubbing, but what about the pipe heating the oil line? There's insulation there that stops with a hose clamp, just about where the line touches the pipe. I shoved a piece of header insulation tape in there just for peace of mind.

I'm not sure what my alternatives are in repositioning the bypass pipe. The bracket it hangs on seems to titled somewhat, but I loosen the bolts (4?) and cant seem to budge it. If I break the bracket loose, does it have some play?

Thanks for help,

Dan
