1995 993 C2 17" to 18" wheel? Can I???
I can't stand the look of my Cup wheels and want to change to 18's, is this possible? Can I use Boxter or 996 wheels or from 8's & 9"s to 9 and 10" wide? I was told there was a Factory Tech Bulletin that stated not to increase wheel size, but can't find any info to back it up. I just got the car in March and am new to the 993's. Thanks for any suggestions.

You are correct, there is a factory TSB for 18” wheels on ’95 993’s. Basically, if your VIN is after a certain number, you need a steering brace installed before you can upgrade to 18” wheels. If your VIN is before that number, you are not on the “approved vehicle” list, meaning you can’t do this. However, many people with VIN’s before that number have installed this brace and have put 18” wheels on. If you do hard track driving and your VIN is before this number, I would think real hard before going to 18’s. From the second link below: “Porsche revised the front and rear wheel carrier, front lower ball joint, and front shock absorber, and reinforcced the rear anti-roll bar mounts on the later cars to accommodate the larger cornering loads of the 18" wheels.” However, if you don’t drive hard, the larger cornering loads of 18’s shouldn’t be an issue.
You can read the TSB here: http://www.pcarworkshop.com/images/5/54/Installing_18_iNCH_wheels_1996_640496.pdf And some more info here: http://p-car.com/technical/wheel.htm

The 18's are not going to improve the SUV-like ride height (extreme gap between the top of your tire and the fenderwell). Consider lowering springs (M030). I have cup II's like your's but the centers are painted black and height is a bit lower:

Here is a 95 993 with 18 in twists. The car has been lowered about 2 inches.

I bolted on a set of 19" Champions from a 996. Worked just fine. They fit like they were designed for the 993. I don't see a problem w/ 18's if it's not a track car. Has been done MANY times.

18" wheels
I have two sets of 18" 3 piece wheels currently apart awaiting a new owner. I can build them up in custom sizes. Fronts can by 8 or 8.5 x 18 and the rears can be 10, 10.5 or even 11" wide. Speedline Alesio or Techart Daytona centers both sets use the same Speedline parts,. Speedline bolts just depends on the look you want. Price will depend upon exactly what I end up building and parts used.
