89 C4 exclamation mark light only.
the exclamation light comes on fairly regularly when driving 35mph plus. turn it off, and it's back on again 5 minutes later. no other lights come on with it. no fault code retrievable on the bosch hammer. could the absence of the rear spoiler have anything to do with it? it has a 88 wing now.

Yes. My '92 did it all the time with the fixed spoiler. Never drive slower than 35 mph...problem solved.
![]() There is a way to bypass it. My '95 was bypassed by Mark Isreal.

John, I have the spoiler unhooked in the up position on my 89 and the light comes on every time I get up to speed.

My early build 993 has a spoiler control module that is a 964 part number. Simply unplugging the module works to keep the warning light off if you have installed a fixed spoiler...it's located under the passenger dash on the 993; some 964's have it located under the passenger seat.

The spoiler module was under the dash in the passenger foot well in my '92. Unplugging the module eliminated the warning light for me.
The "!" light is the master warning that says something is wrong and one of the smaller lights should be on. The "!" button turns the "!" light off.

When I installed my 3.8 rs wing I took the two wires that go to the micro posistion switch and I soldered them together and it never gave me any lights after that. I never tried unplugging the little computer under the seat, I guess that could work as well.
