Question 964 tiptronic just failed....

anyone got any ideas on this one?
I stopped at the lights with the car in 1st and when i went to take of i heard a faint snap and now i cant get any gears. Cant even select park.....
Anyone have this happen to them?

The problem with a bullet proof item breaking, is that no one knows how to fix it. Your best bet is to put the word out and try to purchase a used Tip Tranny.

Not sure the difference between the years, if any, but here's a tip for sale. I bought the engine out of the car and now that it's torn down the engine shows of having been pretty well maintained. I suspect the tip's in good shape too. Don't know if he'd entertain shipping overseas though. Worth an email to him.

Hi

I know that there is a cable/linkage that goes to the box. I was looking at it today thinking it could do with some grease on my 993. I would have a good look at that before thinking the worst.
