911 engine lid fit a 993?

Not concerned about hinges or the latch mechanism, but I'm wondering if the width and length etc are the same. Anyone compared these? (Thought of adapting some type of 911 tail to my 993)

Not the same. I think they are different in length.

Yes, they are DEFINITELY different lengths. The 993 lid is shorter.

Thanks both of you for the replies. It appears I'll have to use the 993 engine lid and graft something onto it. Not such a big deal.

Here is another question you may be able to answer, either of you happen to know the specific weight difference between a 993 coupe and a 993 cab. Perhaps someone has had coner weights which would give a good comparison.
