964 widebody foul odor in air vent system??
Greetings.
I have a 1994 porsche 964 widebody that has an extremely foul odor coming from the vent system. I just purchased the car so it came like this, and I am wondering where to start. I have actually removed all the interior of the vehicle and replaced all the carpets but notice now that it is coming out of the vents. arrrggg. does anyone know how the air vent system works in this car. I have a bad feeling that some animal got in there, but i just dont know where to start opening up and cleaning out. Any suggestions from anyone that has had any parts of this car apart before would help. Cant wait to drive it with the windows up for a change. Thanks. |

make sure the a/c drains are clear, they are under the car at front bulkhead. Wurth makes a deodorant for a/c systems that works well. if that doesn't work you have to take the evaporator box apart for cleaning, a major project as you have to loosen the fuel tank to get to the housing and the clips holding it together are difficult to put back.
