My 1995 993 (40k miles) clutch paddle does not return fully. It gets stuck more or less 3/4 on the way back and I need to put my foot below and kick it back up. During the spring service the mechanic flushed the hydraulic clutch system as he thought maybe air in the system makes it not return. However, the annoying issue continues. Any hints are welcome!

The slave cylinder going bad causes the pedal to not fully return. Replace it and the hydraulic hose running between it and the body hard line and your back in business.

There's a pedal lever update that can solve the problem. Bleeding has to be done right if done at all.
There is a bit of free play in the pedal before it actually causes fluid movement in the clutch actuation process. You have no real problem other than a possible reduced travel if the clutch is worn. If it works....look for the kinematic lever update here or on Rennlist.

There is also a spring tensioner adjustment on the clutch pedal that can help it return all the way.
