Sunroof Seal. Which Part Number?

My rear sunroof seal popped out and came apart while I was washing the top earlier. The little white rubber inner piece now won't stay in.

Pelican lists two parts...

Porsche 911 Sunroof Parts - Page 1

Coupe 'Velvet' Sunroof Seal, rear, 911 (1974-98), 911 Turbo (1976-98)
911-564-193-00-M136

and

Coupe Flat Sunroof Seal on roof, 911 (1974-98), 911 Turbo (1976-98)
901-564-905-05-M100

Do I need both, or just the velvet seal?

You will only need the velvet pieces and you may want to consider replacing both the front and rear gaskets at the same time. If you only replace one, the difference between the old and new sections will be stark.

There's a DIY on Pelican ( http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/376404-sunroof-cable-repair-new-seals-87-911-a.html )....Be sure to allow plenty of time...Have a friend who has the time to stand right there and provide an extra hand at precisely the time you need it....Use the adhesive shown in the DIY, not just any "contact cement"........ Pre-shape the gaskets to fit the opening before you apply adhesive....Good luck.

Awesome. Thankyou. I think I'll just go ahead and order a while new gasket set then.
