Holes in airbox with a K&N air filter

Getting to know my new 964 a little better. It has Holes drilled in the AirBox with a K&N air filter. Car runs great now but will this cause issues down the road?

A K&N will not filter air as well as the stock filter does. I don't think you'll see much in terms of power gains. Maybe 1 or 2 HP. Will maybe sound a little meaner than the stock intake. It probably won't cause any problems, but I'd be cleaning the filter maybe a little more than the reccommended interval

What I would be concerned with is, how well does it filter after X amount of washings?

Not being able to confirm this is one of the reasons why I've never considered a K&N air filter
