Question 16 inch to 18 inch wheels

I currently have 16" wheels and am thinking of upgrading to either 17" or 18" wheels. The new wheels will not be used for auto-x or DE (I use the originals). Anybody got any experience with this? Ideas/suggestions? One thing I have heard is that the 18's do ride rougher? True?

Thanks for any help.

I have 16's, 17's, and 18's. The 18's ride the firmest and corner with the most confidence. On my 94 I was able to use 18x10's in the back and 18x8's up front with no rubbing and no modifications. Offsets on the back are 52mm and 55 up front. The 18's stay on the car routinely. I use the 17's for DE, etc.

No problems to report.
