Remote Control

My 1994 993 C2 is fitted with the factory immobilizer that works together with the locking and opening of the door by the button of the remote control. It been working fine untill yesterday, when I wanted to open the door with the control and the door does not unlock. I physically opened it with the key, with the door open a few seconds and the alarm went off. I pressed the remote and managed to off the alarm. I can start the car. The remote works fine for the alarm and the immobilizer but not the locking and unlocking of the door. Even the door lock buttom at the centre of the console has no respond. Seems like there is no power to the door controls. I have check all the fuses and they are good. Anybody has this problem before and how did they fix it. BTW, I only have one remote control.

Regards

Its likely the door lock control module, either repair or replace (there is a soldered joint that has a high failure rate, if you open the module you may be able to see that there are one (or more) places where the solder has failed

Hi thanks for the reply. When you said the door lock control module, do you meant the remote control that is attached with the key or something else inside the car?

Regards. Heung

It is not the remote, I dont know where the module is located in your car, it may be under the passenger seat,

this should help

The fuse on the control module may be bad. The module is under passenger seat. Look at this thread...
