91 964 C2 front brake pads same as rears??

Host site lists the front pads for the p64 C2 being supplied by Mintex and Textar, but the rear pads only being supplied by Textar. This tells me that the front pads are different than the rears.

My discussions to local shops and stores seems to reveal that front and rear are the same part number from aftermarket suppliers, suggesting that front and rear ARE the same. See link below:
ThermoQuiet CeramicNXT Brake Pads

Can someone debunk this for me/us? I'm planning to get pads and need to know if the fronts are the same as the backs.

Peter

yes, and they are the same pads as used by the '78-89 930

unless you have an early 964 C2 w/ 2 piston rears

1989-91 C2 with 2 piston rear calipers uses a different pad on the rear. 1992 and on uses same pad front and rear.

If you do have the 2 piston rears, an easy upgrade is to purchase a used set of the 4 piston calipers as it is a direct bolt on replacement. And a larger selection on matching pads! As a side note, depending on who you ask, you may or may not need to swap out the proportioning valve. Others on here I am sure will chime in.
