1. ) Do you mean when the vehicle is placed in drive?

2. ) If you the shift selector is placed in park the vehicle will not move forward.

3. ) If the shift selector is placed in drive and the vehicle does engage and or rpm's are increased but vehicle makes radically sluggish forward motion or very no forward motion.

I would suggest that you have the transmission fluid flushed and inspected. However this sounds like it could be a torque converter and it sounds as though you might want to have a professional shop handle this if you aren't mechanically inclined.

I hope it all works-out for you.
