after too much time away from both my car and this site, how did you all make out with whatever you selected for exhaust configs?

A couple of comments. I replaced the secondary muffler (stock exhaust) with a G-pipe. Car sounded more like a hot rod, than a sports car, so I put the muffler back.(just my opinion)
My friend just installed the Fabspeed dual outlet system, with heat. The systems droans allot, and you may need earplugs. The fitup to the muffler on both sides, was short by about 3/8ths inch, which made him use RTV sealant to take up the slack. Fabspeed has not been helpful. They say that the muffler must be installed incorrectly, and so far won't supply a longer connector to fix the problem. |

Rear exhaust
I wanted to follow up and let people know which way I went.
I had purchased a used "race pip" in stainless which replaced both mufflers that run across the rear of the car and the muffler that lives in the left rear fender well. The weight savings was fantastic. I weighed the cat and mufflers and I can't recall the exact figures but it was something like savings of 65 pounds!!!!!!!! For every change there is a down side. I put the system on Friday night and finished to late to TEST it!!!!!!The neighbors already hate me, maybe it's the Suzuki 500 Vee 4 two stroke with four expansion chambers, at any rate it is way to loud. It made great power. Any way I bought a cup pipe and am running a cat by pass and the cup pipe with the stock muffler that in the rear fender well. I also polished the rear muffler and it looks need through the fender. Sound is great as is performance. Thanks for the help

I'm being told the ROW 964 cat was different from the US cat. Was there such thing? Or were the euro cars plumbed stock with no cat?

For Japan the same cat was used but it had a temperature sensor at the exit, this was not used on the US or other RoW cars.

Years ago we tested every imaginable combination on a dyno. The set up that made the most power, and was Lime Rock legal and more torque than dual outlet straight pipes was:
Cat delete Coast Fabrication Ultra Light (I believe it was 17" X 6")Ultra Lightweight Racing Mufflers - Coast Fabrication Coast Fab angled tip.
