need help! 1996 C4S question !

I am looking at a c4s 1996 to purchase this weekend.
I talk to a mechnic about the car and his feed back was are you ready to put alot of maintance into the car.meaning not the one Iam going to buy but c4s in general. is this true on the c4s.
Does the 4 wheel drive system have issues. I am trading in my c2
turbo for the c4s. Is it a mistake. Need help on this one.

Why trade a turbo for a NA car?

In general 993's do not have lots of known problems, and the four wheel drive system is not problematic. Ask your mechanic specifically what items he thinks will need costly attention and then post them here. My guess is he will recant his statement when he thinks a little more about it.
