Engine loss of power on take off

Hi guys recently I had my uncle pull out the engine from my 964 it had the usual problem oil leaks from the barrels the engine was running perfect though. now the oil leaks are all fixed, which is great. but the problem is there seems to be loss of power on take of, its no way as fast , top end seems ok, but when idling its A bit rough & if i'm in 3rd gear doing 30mph it sometimes coughs it doesn't seem to like it. it will occasionally stall as well, he put A scanner on it & he seems to think it the air mass censor, is the A way of adjusting it or could there be A wire or tube disconnected? I've never seen one before & my uncles gone back to the bush also i'd rather not hassling him anymore.

Before I started changing anything, I'd begin by double checking every vacuum tube and electrical connection to be sure it was all put back correctly...
