1990 964 wont start

Went for coffee came out and she wouldn't fire up. Turned over but no ignition so to speak. Just turned over. Before that it was running fine.
Checked the usual DME and it was OK (points closed) even switched it with another OE relay.
Thought it was the fuel pump but no power to it.
Think it might be the ignition switch or even the ECU.

Anybody got any more Ideas that it might be?

+1....Pull the DME relay and use a 3-wire jumper to jump 30, 87, and 87B, then see if it starts.

heard of this but didn't try it because I tried three other relays and no luck. so I brought it to my friends at porsche LA dismantler and Todd said he will look at it. I'm guessing it's the ECU. Hopefully I will know tomorrow.

Do you have spark, fuel? Flywheel speed sensor is a possibility. Easy to check with a multimeter.
See Adrian Streather's book for the procedure.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think we got it. The previous owner years ago installed a Python alarm system that had a Kill switch for the fuel and Ignition and that was wired straight into the ECU. I'm told that's bad when the alarm gets old and shorts out. I'll will know for sure in a day or two.

Removed all the aftermarket alarm and stereo wired in the car from the previous owner and switched out the shorted out ECU and she fired right up. Beware of these so called expert alarm shops !!!
