Hi All,
These are 964 cylinders. Can one tell what year these are? Thanks!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442091872.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442091889.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442091908.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442091922.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442091945.jpg |
I'd post this in the Engine Rebuilding forum, likely to have a lot of pro builders viewing that will know how to identify ;)

..... it maybe me, but they look a bit strange.
Here's old style cylinder from my car. It has dome https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...d/IMG_0627.jpg here's set of new style cylinders - they have groove for ring, somebody posted here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248795279.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/488270-1992-porsche-964-piston-set.html Yours look like someone machined recess... also recess surface does not look right, it should be mirror flat  Part number is for newer style. Unless it's photo that makes it look weird  |
You're right...now I see it...I couldn't at first, but now I do...
Thans...not worth taking the risk on these... Q |
The box shows the correct number for later model 964's, however the cylinders and pistons seem to be the earlier cylinders/pistons....
