Intermittent speedo causing ABS warning light 1991 964 C2

I just had the top end done on a 964 and now there is ABS light that comes on randomly. I don't have any history on the car but I noticed that the speedo stops working, then the ABS light comes on. The car has a tip trans and I can't find any troubleshoot procedures for this problem. The car is going back to the wrench that did the top end due to a small oil leak and I will ask him to check the connections at the trans since he was the last one in there. The car was parked for 7 years and the previous owner states that no warning lights were on the last time the car ran. Any advice or recommendations on how to deal with this issue would be great!
Thanks in advance,
Cesar

It's good that you have corrected the problem but normally you are expected to explain what the problem turned out to be. Solved! doesn't help anyone in the future with the same symptoms.

I read a thread on Rennlist about ABS units on the 964s. Per the post, 1991 was the first year the speedo signal was integrated with the ABS sensor on the left front. I removed all 4 sensors, gave them a good cleaning. 300 miles so far and no more issues. FYI, be very careful with the hold down bolt, very easy to break off.
