A/C upgrade?
My '84 911 had a variety of Griffiths and Rennaire parts installed by the PO that combined to give me vent temps in the low 40's when the ambient was 100. My stock 993 air is more like low 50's in those conditions if I'm lucky. Searching has not turned up any reviews of the Griffiths stuff for the 993. Can anyone offer some input?

I'm surprised your 993 is not keeping you cool enough ? It's one of the things Porsche got right on the 993. I have two 993's I've never charged either AC yet. Coolant low ? But these Oklahoma summers can be brutal on our cooling units. Sorry I dont no about the griffiths or rennaire

Charlie Griffith is very approachable and helpful - if you send him an email and/or PM he'll respond with suggestions.

The 993 system definitely could use some improvement for use in genuinely hot climates, then - I get much lower vent temps from my modified/built system in my 1987 930. |
