964 purchase

Hello,

I'm looking at a 1990 964 for purchase. The car is at a dealer and they've shown me receipts for an engine rebuild and trans transplant. I would like to know if anybody knows of this place.

The job was done at:

Vehicle has 16k on rebuild, it looks really nice. PPI will be next but I would appreciate any feed back on that shop.

Courtney Truck Service was recommended to me by another high end Porsche shop in the Minneapolis area that has moved on past air cooled and mainly does the newer 911s. They said don't be put off by the name it's a great air cooled shop, hope it all worked out.

Be smart, and get a PPI at another Porsche independent ship.

OK. I checked with a track buddy of mine in Chanhassen. He runs at Brainard. He said Courtney is a well known and respected Porsche driver and mechanic and if he can't fix it himself he takes it to Courtney. In fact, my buddy's race car engine, '83 SC IIRC, was rebuilt by Courtney.

Sounded familiar so I tracked it down. No affiliation, my buddy is a business associate, I travel to EP, Chan, and Shakopee a couple times a month.
