Crank Pulley Bolt Size and Torque
Apologies in advance - my search technique didn't get what I'm looking for.
The subject crank pulley bolt is for 1995 993 3.6. Please kindly advise 1. the crank pulley bolt size (thread diameter and pitch). 2. the torque spec for this bolt when installing (only drives alternator, no A/C) I know 1 above could be found out when I take the bolt out but i want to go buy the same thread bolt/ threaded shaft to craft a crank seal installer and go to the hardware store before I start the work. Different theories posted up on the board and I just wanted to be certain what was the original torque spec. I don't have the factory manual. Great if someone has The manual for 95 3.6 and post what it says. Thank you in advance!

According to the Porsche parts catalog, it is a M14 x 1.5 x 33 bolt.
According to the Porsche repair manual, 170 Nm or 125 lbf.ft. Last edited by Traveller; 03-23-2012 at 06:27 PM.. |

Is it required to replace crank bolt with new or can it be reused?
