Tiptronic gear display
I have a 1991 Carrera convertible with a Tiptronic. The gear selection no longer shows up on the display within my speedometer. Where do I start looking? Is this going to be a speedometer rebuild? I do have the complete shop manual for the car but I can not figure out where to start troubleshooting. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for the tip. I did check the fuse and tried it with and without the lights on and the indicator light does not light up. Any more suggestions?

Is the car shifting through its gears on the tip side? If not check this out: 964 ECM Tiptronic Control 964.618.110.00

Thank you for the suggestion. As soon as the salt is off the roads I will give it a try. I drove the car very little last year, but hope to put a few miles on it this year.
