996 GT3 w/ GT2 size tires?

The Yoko Advans on the GT3 have 12k miles but have aged out - mid-13 manufacture dates. Replacements of the stock sizes are few. As such I’m considering going with the the same gen GT2 tire size - 245-40/18 front and 315/30 rear, I run a 245/40 on the stock rms.

I’d appreciate the pros and cons of doing this. Thank

I believe your GT3 will feel less "nimble" while less likely to oversteer. I would not do it.

Just wish there were more choices in the correct size.
