Spark plug and Coil Pak change for a 2003 996 with 25,000 miles

I have a 2003 Porsche 996 Targa with about 26,000 miles on the car. Normal maintenance schedule for the spark plugs and coil pak change is 60,000 miles. Should these parts be changed sooner due to the age of the car even though the milage is low? What milage interval is recommended? Thanks.

Given the age of car, I would first inspect the coils for cracks or just drive it hard in heavy rain. If the motor misses, you got your answer.
