chain guides

I have a 2001 2.7 Boxster. Does anyone know if the lower chain guides can be replaced without pulling the motor? I am doing the tensioners soon and if this can be done at the same time then I would like to do this. Thanks all! from the newbie!

Is it possible? Yes. Do you really want to do it with the engine in the car? Definitely not. It is faster, easier, and done better with the engine on a stand.
