value with new engine

Four years ago I purchased a 2004 c4s with 11000 mi. I never had a single problem untill two months ago. while driving in fourth gear around 4000rpm the engine made a fluttering sound and stopped running. The intermediate shaft failed. The vehicle had only 47,000mi. I had engine replaced with new one from factory, and installed by Porsche and have around 900mi. on it so far. How does this effect the value of this vehicle if I were to sell? I am new to this site and would love some truthful advice. Thanks

A fresh factory motor with the 2 year warranty is a bonus in the value of the car.

I think all things being equal - I would pick your car over someone else's car that was of the same year and options. Would you get 'more' money then the other guy? Don't know - although the 11K on chassis is below avg mileage for your year of car so that helps a lot. 996 P Car owners are not into the 'numbers matching' crap the way that the 60-70's classic domestic car people are. We just want an engine that won't blow up from IMS issues, no leaks from the RMS and coolant and oil that doesn't mix! Not asking too much huh? LOL

Accidents kill price more then anything else. Having a dealer engine replacement in a 996 can be a 'bonus' selling point as the new owner has one less thing to worry about, (IMS)!
