How many miles are considered high?

Hi Everyone, this is my first time posting on here so be gentle as this may be a stupid question for many of you, but I have to start somewhere.

A little backstory on me: I have always wanted a Porsche. In my younger years, I was mainly a VW guy and now I am in the family sedan scene due to small kids, etc. It looks like I may have a somewhat green light to finally start looking at a car that I have wanted for YEARS. Now, I always thought I wanted an older 911, but as prices for them are starting to increase, I am starting to think maybe a 996/997 would be a cheaper choice for someone who is just starting out in the world of Porsche. I have not ruled out the older air cooled ones, but from what I read, it looks to be an entirely different buying/driving experience so I thought I would start with the 996/997 questions first. Also, I do not plan to purchase this car for about a year but I am type of person that will research the hell out of something and with a purchase as exciting/important to me as this, I want to give enough time to gather all facts. This car would be a daily driver for sure.

So, after all that long winded backstory, my question is this: How many miles are considered high in a 996/997? I am reading some posts that say that higher miles might be better vs. lower due to some issues but what are some actual number of good miles? Obviously if the car is maintained correctly, etc. it will factor in, but is 60k too high? 80k, 100k? If you know what you know now and you were in my shoes, what number miles (along with the condition) would you be looking for as a daily driver? Also, I guess 1999-2005 are years I should be more concerned about, correct?

THANKS SO MUCH!!!! Sorry for the long post!

I just bought a 996 with 110K miles. No worry whatsoever. If the engine made it to 110K, it will probably go to 210K with proper care.

Look for a super low mileage
996 coupe
Then do IMS/rms, water pump, motor mounts and belt
Then drive it 350,000 miles
