Plug removel 996 Turbo

What's the best approach for removing the spark plugs on a 996 turbo? Removal of the exhaust or turbo?

You have to remove the rear lights, rear bumper, several heat shields, inner wheel lining, undo the bracket that holds the intercooler.....bend back another heat shield and then you should see the coil packs and plugs....takes a bit
Pay attention to the clips on the boost hoses. They need to "snap" back in place. There is a channel they fit into. If you dont get it right, the hoses will pop of.

I did see the inner wheel house cover and figured I would be able to reach the front plugs through there. Not quite as easy as my 3.4 Thanks for the info.

Yep pull the bumper and intercoolers, no other easy way to do it...
Not a bad job, as was said pay special attention to the clips which secure the cooler hoses.....

Well it's not the hardest job I have ever done. Just a pain in the butt for a set of plugs. No problem.
